its a different aspect and vision of the story... ...actually its way better then the movies...i sort of hated the highlander stuff accept the first one from the '86...the other parts are shit...but this anime has a fine story...its not bad at all...first you should see it then judge...
(2) By the way, I'm not saying the animated series from '94 were the best thing on Earth - I'm just saying they made a tiny little more sense than the 3rd, 4rd and 5th live action motion pictures... The series featuring Duncan were watchable though, but they should've explained how (and why) there were immortals walking around when Connor MacLeod won The Prize in 1985 A.C. - This would make the series' storyline fit into the first film's universe.

but yeah those like Mr.Kawajari have doneanime movies about sword weilding heroes before so a Highlander anime makes perfect sense.
