Technotronic and Hi Tek 3 were both done by the same exact people. The rapper is even the same person. What happened was "Pump Up The Jam" was originally intended to be a one-off project, but it became such a huge hit that they made more music as Technotronic. This came out right after "Pump Up The Jam" and some time before all of Technotronic's other singles.
