This does appear to be where they got the inspiration for their online news parody made some 13 years later, including sections called "Today, Now!".
Which, I'm sure, is exactly what you meant. : )

That Louis Armstrong-voiced "justice" really gets me every time :D
And a well-done parody of a news report done "in the US style" (awful puns etc.)
