But if you call the tech, isn't the ball now dead and any contact not part of the game. You can't call him for a foul after the tech. Not saying I think your wrong, I have eyes and it's clearly a foul. Grey area for sure.

You cannot call a normal foul after a technical..if you do so its an unsportsmanlike because the ball is dead
