The Hamilton Tariff Act of 1789 protected American workers from cheap foreign labor untill the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 passed.
The tariff was the governments number 1 source of income.
I believe a tariff is badly needed now. At least give American Workers a fighting chance.

The 3 conditions for a Marxist revolution are present:

1. Strong nationalism in developed countries
2. Production going on outside of the consumer countries
3. Machines replacing humans

PS: Chomsky is the best

look I get the point here, I think we both have the same goals in mind, its just that you believe its shit is happening via conspiracy, and I believe its simply the ugly side of human nature. but if you support some kind of anarchist system, then we're all on the same side.

money. cheaper to send industry to 3rd world nations, and cheaper to let illegals work at the remaining industrial sites in the US, especially if the US doesn't want tensions with one of its very few allies (mexico).

neither of these is necessarily bad. computer use in business has increased demand for thinking and mental work, rather than physical work, hence the other reason for the decrease in industry. things change.

So government allows the wealth of its middleclass to be re-destributed across the third world because of cheap labor. Where are all of those thinking jobs, according to Peter Schiff the country will reach 25% unemployment next month. thats the same as the great depression. Tensions should not stop the U.S. Government from securing our borders. Do you know that 40% of the residents of the U.S. are not native born.
