What the heck am I doing? I have no clue. Obviously. Does this video have anything to do with "free energy"? You decide. How much energy would I expend pushing that ping-pong ball back and forth, that fast, with my fingers? And will Desertphile object to my use of the term "expend" in the above sentence? The suspense builds... Stay tuned...

It's something by Nine Inch Nails, a great group. From the "audio swap" YT feature. I don't know the name of the track. If you look at the NIN yt channel it's probably there. Thanks for Watching!!
That's a very cool machine but please don't devalue Desertphile's efforts. We need him, and others like him, to keep the scammers and fraud artists in check. A few bad apples makes everyone view our efforts with skepticism. I'm amazed that he puts so much effort into it.
Sure, you are right, and if DesertPile and his effete brother NosoYoungAnyMoreHippy could either one of them manage to complete a single sentence without having stinky brown oozy shit dribble out from between their lips, maybe more people would get the message. But they are such foulmouthed disgusting assholes that the very phrase "argumentum ad hominem, abusive" seems custom-tailored to fit. (I don't usually talk like this; I'm doing it to make somewhat of a point. I'm sure it is to no avail.)
Sadly, I have to agree with you. I'm continually shocked by how abusive users are to each other. One thing I find particularly embarrassing is how cruel english speaking users are to "foreigners" trying to post something in english. You'd think they would appreciate the effort. Anyway, thanks for your reply and I'm reconsidering "DesertPile."
It's an electrostatic generator. The ping-pong ball is coated with conductive paint. The ends of the butter dish have foil inside. The ball chain conducts the HV charge from the Dirod's capacitor stack; the E field builds, and since the ball is conductive and large and spherical, it is attracted to one side. When it touches, the charge is transferred, like charges repel, the ball is strongly repelled to the other side. Lather, rise, repeat. At the end the dirod is pushed to the sparking voltage.
