50 Years of ABC TV - Comedy

frontline was excellent. the sting at the end was always thought provoking. My fave was the one when they did the one about the hostage scenario when they called the hostage taker who then promptly killed them all on "national tv".
Brilliant social commentary that the commercial channels don't have the guts to do, otherwise they'd lose funding from the establishment. Also loved the ppl complaining to backchat, just didn't get the point at all.

Now now children that sort of behaviour is just not on, its just not on. Rove is a completely different format to the big gig. The sideshow is awesome, too bad ABC canceled it but now we've got GNW back so I'm over it, even though Paul doesn't sing.

Rove doesnt come close to what the Big Gig was. They were funny and original. Rove is wanky toff with a try hard sense of humour - the guys on the Big Gig had genuine comedic skill. Wendy Harmer, Jean Kittson, Denise Scott, Glynn Nicholas...the birthing ground of classic Australian humour - THE BEST
