It is not Zagreb airport which is called "Nikola Tesla airport", it is the airport in Belgrade, Serbia. Since Nikola Tesla was a Serb, the son of a Serbian priest, who was born in a village in today's Croatia. Back then, there were hundreds of thousands of Serbs living in Croatia, today, after the Croatian ethnic cleansing, almost none, but that is another story.

I've never heard or saw this before. Great to see one of the greatest scientists of all time (without whom we possibly wouldn't be sharing all this information) has not been totally forgotten. Neither has his gentle love for humble pigeons. Read his biography, Prodigal Genius. As well as being extremely informative, it will break your heart.

Also, Zagreb airport since 2006 has been "Zagreb Nikolai Tesla Airport".
