Beautiful! Orthodoxy forever! St. John Maximovitch, Wonderworker of Shanghai and San Francisco, was one of the greatest Orthodox saints of all time! May he pray to Jesus Christ, the True God, for us!

Only by the grace and mercy of God was an unworthy sinner like me allowed to be at St. John's canonization. I can still remember when Deacon Nicholas of blessed memory uncovered St. John's relics. The church was completely silent. Deacon Nicholas - with his big voice - yelled out "proclone!" (prostrate!). The whole church did a full prostration at once out of respect for the holiness present in front of them. Oh Holy Vladika John, please pray for us sinners.

I love this! Thank you for posting! I ask St. John to pray for me and us often! What an absolutely beautiful service and what a witness to its community as they walked around the church.
