It is SO terrible that slavery is permitted in the bible and the QU'ran. The horror of this is indescribable. More than anything this says that we should abandon these faiths, they are not faiths for our times.They all come from the semitic peoples in the Middle East. So full of contradictions, these 'holy books' . The misery that they have caused..

It is so hard to listen to the Arabic people carrying on about the 'fairness' of Islam when they treat people like this. And she is a Muslim and her 'master' in the book said she 'couldnt be a muslim because she was too black!' Christianity used to do this too, but they have seen the error of their ways. But I dont think Christians used to say a black person couldnt be a Christian because of their skin colour. It is very evil and doesnt help my opinion of those people.

I read the book for school and it is the only book i finished in 17 years of my life cause i couldnt stop reading till she experienced freedom!! mende is one of the strongest people i ever seen.. im not a girl and im not gay and if my friends see this comment they would call me a fag or a pussy lol but whatever...

ive read the book as well. it really gave me an new perspective to this planet and people. i didnt know slavery still exists. but it obviously does. this has to be told on tv to everyone. everyone should know. God bless this woman!!!
