If they ever invent a bionic eye that can run at 30fps at 1080p I wouldn't mind getting an upgrade for my bad eye! lol
But seriously, if you consider the possibility of having a computer in your socket connecting to your brain...the possibilities nowadays are limitless!

yeah but you can't seem to comprehend that when you are blind that you might want to see
again!!!!! oh and if you think it so if you can see again what does it matter i have a challenge for you. try to cross the street blindfolded ... you're not going to do it right yeah right but a blind person has to do that every day and don't tell me that that is not dangerous.
o and because you like to swear to people on the internet here's is a fitting end to my comment to you ...
you retarded idiot

Oh, I can comprehend how hard it can be to be blind, I was in a mall when one of the shelves went kaput and I got bleach in my eyes, blinded me for weeks. I'm not saying it being blind is best, blind people have a right to see. I'm just saying for surgeries sake, the eyes are not vital organ; if something went wrong in the surgery, the eye was damaged; you wouldn't die from it. Maybe from blood loss, or the anesthesia, but not the damaged eye

so if the surgery could be safer than that would mean
that blind people could see again with taking little risk
and on a side note you say broken not kaput
and stop swearing it makes you sound stupid

I'm not saying the surgery has to be completely safe for blind people to be allowed to take it; it's their choice to undergo it, what I'm saying is that a damaged eye isn't life threatening, stop trying to distort my words. Excuse me for using a little expressive and creative using the word kaput; I wasn't aware Xenophobia could be shown over words. And no, using, albeit rather unique, swearwords doesn't make me stupid; Lack of grammar and spelling makes YOU looks stupid, you idiot child

Well, you could die shortly after going blind if you're hit by a car or eaten by a tiger because you're unable to escape or defend yourself.

Also, technology doesn't succumb to illness or decay? Whew, it is so reassuring to know that I will still be able to use my computer to argue with people on the internet, and drive my car around the molten surface of the earth up until the heat death of the universe.
