It's very possible that the paying gig they mention was by birthday party. Zeitgeist played at my surprise b-day party in May, 1984. It was truly an awesome party. I have some great pics! And amazing memories. I probably saw Zeitgeist (and Reivers) play every Austin concert between 1982 and 1985. First saw them at The Beach I think. Does anyone have video of Garrett singing Sweet Jane? If y'all are out there - Reivers, miss you much! Thanks for being such a special part of my college days.

Things don't change is my favorite song from Translate slowly. I have a bad mp3 made from an old tape. I think I will try to clean it up a bit.
