Um, I'm sorry but you didn't write that!! That song is from the old children's series called Gulla Gulla Island!! They used to sing it all the time!! You did not write those lyrics!! Or at least not the first and last ones about him laughing or him sitting on a rusty nail cuz I've heard that song before! It's very famous!! Or at least it was!!

yeah they did sing it on gulla gulla island of which i used to watch as a child but... the songs roots are far beyond that show

That song is an OLD Australian Kids Song and nobody has the rights to it. We had many versions growing up and yes that was a couple of them. Gull Gull Island just used it.

Actually, the second line of the flute riff of Down Under exactly matches the first line of the Kookaburra song. However, there's no way that some moron should be able to receive royalties for one line of a 75 year old song. Especially since they bought the supposed rights to the song ten years after Men at Work's song was published.
