I just finished my setup and I use a 240v inline water heater element. I get 180F in about 5 minutes with this badboy. You must use 240v, 120v isn't enough with only one element. Check it out on hesibudifabla

What kind of device are you using to heat your "dirty" veggie oil prior to cleaning? Very nice setup you have there btw. Power to the peoples! ;)

does the filter separate the water ? pulling from the bottom of the barrel is where all the water will settle when heated

The centrifuge separates the water. Water disapates as steam, and the bowl in the centrifuge catches it. My oil is pretty dry, so I really dont worry about it. I always pan test my oii though. So far so good.

Yes the oil goes in dirty. I filter the oil for 4 hours. The centrifuge processes 1.8 gallons a minute, so I get 8 passes in 4 hours for 50 gallons. I heat the oil to 160 degrees.
