this is the most intelligent comment i have ever seen on youtube. all the real music with soul and meaning is kept underground and unheard of. im a musician, and i appreciate good music, and this pisses me off when the best bands get all the worst shit thrown at them

In the UK we need to be told what to like, Kaiser Chumps for example. We only like bands whose choruses have "lalala" in them so we can join in and sing out of tune. As a musician, I despise the lack of appreciation for good music in this country, especially piano-led stuff like this.

fuck, i disagree. for my money, brits have much better taste in music. even the beach boys aren't as properly appreciated in the US as they are in the UK.

Well isn't that western culture in general. we are force- fed mainstream entertainment and most of it is cookie cutter garbage just existing for the quick buck that comes out of our pocket

glad some of us explore new music, and thanks to the internet we get to see more then what comes through on the radio/TV.. bff is unique b/c for a while they held that mainstream interest w/o losing this rare and beautiful sound.. (like radiohead.. not in style, but in this metaphor)

Im here in the United States and every single person I have talked to, besides my best friend, cannot come to appreciate ben folds at the same level we do, i dont get it...hes a fuckin genius!
