These guys keep hold of their roots. Do you folks not know that it's delta blues artists like junior kimbrough and RL burnside that these cats pay homage to ( many of their songs are covers ) and not Hendrix. Jesus. Get your shit straight.

Blues are a living tradition. Every blues musician builds upon what went before. Hendrix was great, but the Black Keys actually play an edgier and more danceable blues than Hendrix ever did. These guys kick ass. Their blues have a deep purple haze, they should be much better known.
