I like this, but I hate the fact, that when your mouse is NOT on the taskbar, it still is highlighted. This gives you a nice effect, but like for Firefox (orange icon) it's not nice, because I always think something changed in the window (wich gives orange glow)... that sucks

We can and have, its called GNU/Linux. There are lots of great Linux distributions. Ubuntu is currently the most popular.
