Hey You. Act 2 - The scene is now set for backstage of Pink's concert. Pink's dressing room has been removed but his chair and TV remain to indicate that it is still his room. Pink is sitting in a catatonic state in his chair.
The spirits of Pink's Father, Mother and Wife enter and assemble around Pink and call to him to stay with them and not to despair.
During the instrumental, the stage fills with 2 groups, those for Pink and those against him. The MC leads those against him and they fight in a tug of war over Pink's soul (represented by a larger version of his rag doll). The MC tells the Mother that it is too late and exits; his work is done.
he exits, leaving the Mother crying over how her son has turned out and she feels the blame. She exits clutching her "doll".
This was filmed on May 12 during dress rehearsals. The band was not available and the cast sang to a midi file. Filmed by the ABC and featured as the theatre insight on 16th May 2008. This clip is courtesy of the ABC. All rights and copyrights remain solely the property of the original owners.

this is called trascending space and time. and thats what happened with TW. We might find faults and details, but certainly is a good job and a way of honoring one of the greates musical master pieces of the XX century. It no longer belongs to PF or RW, now belongs to the world, and for sure will keep evolving. Good work
That was heartfelt and emotional? I felt nothing from this performance, the emotions of anger, fear, depression, and loneliness aren't felt, listen to the original version from the album, it has so much powerful emotion, plus whats with the midi instrumental in the background? felt like a bunch of people from the street were asked to perform this, especially whoever is playing Pink's father, it seems as if theyre simply singing it and nothing more, good physical emotion but the voices dont match
when I scripted the book of the show I needed a character to sing the "observational songs" that could not be given to the rest of the cast. I chose the MC (as used by Floyd to introduce the band) but created him as Pink's inner demon that was after Pink's soul. I used him to create the delusions in Pink's head. The "fight"sequence here, shows Pink's family vs the MC and "hangers on" fighting for Pink's soul (The rag doll) . It made more sense when you saw the whole show LOL
what songs does he sing? I'm trying to figure out what observational songs are on the album. Too bad the whole show wasn't filmed. It would have been cool to see in it's entirety.
