Ooooweeee. This is the first place I visit during our port visits to Hawaii. Nothing like a loco moco after being out in the ocean and eating garbage navy food for three months.

Well, there's nothing like a loco moco period! But here's hoping your next port visit is soon

Love the place! When I'm in Honolulu, I might eat there three or four times in a week!

i swear putting egg on top of a rice based dish is an Asian thing. We love the flavor of eggs mixed with our rice.

Hawaii was heavily influenced by Chinese, Japanese and Philipine immigration and the food has borrowed from many Asian cultures.

To each their own I suppose, but I've been going to Wailana off and on for more than twenty years and I'll keep going there every time I get back to Honolulu.

I suggest you try "I love Country Cafe" and "Big City Dinner." Those 2 places are the bomb! I'm serious the food is better quality and just over all better tasting and DELICIOUS!!! :)
