Also, saying that Silversun Pickups sound like the Smashing Pumpkins doesn't imply their members are AS GOOD as Billy and his crew. They just sound alike, they do (trust me!), but I don't think their drummer is AS good as Chamberlain. The ones stealing the show here are Brian and Nikki, and not even... I mean, this is their beginning goddamn it!

Have a listen of their album, "Swoon." It screams "Siamese Dream" from the very first couple of seconds (to be even more precise, the first track screams "Silverfuck".)

Which isn't really a compliment. It's rather disappointing, because I don't hear a lot of originality and these guys can play; even the artwork reminds me of Siamese Dream (the fonts.)

But I do believe Silversun Pickups are the next big shit. And yes it is fair to compare them to Siamese Dream... for now.

The flow of the song is faster than most of SP's songs and the guitars sound different so i dont see too much similarities between the two, but i do like both

People comparing this so smashing pumpkins are silly. Smashing pumpkins are on another level. This is some watered down depressing shit and it's too fast for rock grunge.

It's a decent song, but let's not get carried away and compare them to smashing pumpkins.

I bet more than half the people on here have no idea who MBV is and probably only know select songs from the pumpkins. But I agree that its not a bad thing and SSPU do credit MBV as an influence to their sound.
