you only have to look at the reason google allows you to do internet searches for free.

they sell information on your internet activities to companies who can use the information to sell you products. they know when you surf and what you surf for, and they allow third party companies to know about it.
did you know that? because until a few months ago i did not.
so the same company is now filming the whole world, why? at the moment i dont know

also for some reason google street view has been allowed to film people and places where previously it had been illegal to publish.

i dont know why google is allowed to film something i am not.

actually they cant. if someone is videoing your house you can call the police and they would have to explain why they are videoing your house.
if they have no good reason they would be asked to move on.
