Only partial right. The producers give the contestants a list in which they pick the songs. Excellent song and rendition. Simon--You need a life.

Ok but maybe it wasn't a very long list.

This song is as perfect example that the producers were trying to lessen his impact by having him sing slow songs--thereby trying to influence viewers into believing that was all he could sing. David wanted a more upbeat tempo but they said no. I'd like to hear him sing all the songs that AI either told him he wouldn't be allowed to sing or songs that they agreed to but wouldn't allow him to sing in the way he wanted. David unintentionally exposed AI for what it was
--a fraud!

I've always loved this song, & I love it more after hearing David Archuleta sing it. This kid is awesome!!!

This is an absolutely beautiful rendition of a sweet, sensitive love song. David's performance was lovely in its simplicity and skillful in its restraint. He has such great instincts regarding how far to take each phrase so the entire song expresses vulnerability and grace. Yes, this is a song from over 25 years ago, but in David's care it transcends time. He treats the song with the tenderness it deserves, showing that he has respect for the music and the songwriter. You absolutely rock,David!!

i really love this version of him..good job for not doing so OA with the song..

im sorry but this song was not a boring song. i like this song since dan folgelberg's version. everytime i listen to this, it makes me feel relax. but of course david's version was good though.

Hate to tell you, but this is not 90 years old...more like 30 and was a very beautiful and popular song at weddings. I wish you could appreciate the beauty in it.
