It depends on how much of the 40 million km3 of land ice is going to melt away. If the 2000-4000 meter thick ice sheet of Antarctica melts, then we would have +70 meters sea level. That means that nearly all big human settlement are going to be useless. If the half of it melts its still a unprecedented catastrophe. Even +2 meters is a hazard. A lot of cities are not prepared to face storms with 2 meters more of sea level.

This year Greenland and Antarctica together are loosing about 300 km3 land-ice per year - tendency rising. Next year it will be about 500 km3. The sea level has risen by more than 7 inches just by thermal changes of the oceans since 1950. Without land-ice melting.
