Nike is responsible, it uses contractors so as to distance itself from such scandalous abuse and exploitation of poor people, treating them like crap and making them "just do it"
As nike said in their own ad campaign - No excuses!!!

its really not nike's fault they have their codes of conduct and its up to the factory workers to uphold them. i agree this is absolutely pathetic but really. nike should sever ties with these factories and only work with ones that dont practise cruelty. they have a long way to go but there is light at the end of the tunnel :)

Don't you think if that was as easy as you say these people would have done that long before they worked for Nike? They have cleary ended up working for Nike because they have no other options. Obviously if they could live in that way, I agree it would be great.
