This isn't any organisation. That was european medieval championships called Battle of nations in Choci stronghold. There were 4 representations from Poland&Litva ,Bielaruś, Ukrain and Russia.

Injuries are caused by poor control of weapons rather than lack of armour, and as for luck - you make your own :-)

But "horse for courses" as we say over here (essentially Eastern Europeans enjoy this style of fighting, Western Europeans theirs). Its one of the reasons that it is not a good idea mixing Eastern & Western groups together, the different styles do not work well together.

Australia & New Zealand are forming a team for 2013 or earlier depending on recruiting. USA and Austria are going to 2012 I believe.

Seriously can't wait till 2013, planning to attend! Still can't believe combatants r ok w open faced helms though. By appearances that guy @1.30 sec pt, clap visor opens & almost looses his face!
