People are, of course, free to choose how they define music. But, one has to wonder about the agenda of folks who insist that the Blues is not founded in the socio-economic experience of African-Americans. Anything else is revisionism.

That's not true actually, you can wikipedia it if you want. You'll actually see there are credible sources sited on its article as well.
