Rep. Walsh Response to Homegrown Radical Islamic Terrorism

Last week I spoke about the threat that radical Islam poses to America.

I've said what I've said hundreds of times,

While the overwhelming majority of Muslim Americans are as peace loving as everyone else, there are radical Islamists right here in the United States trying to kill Americans and destroy this county.

The Committee on Homeland Security, of which I am a member, has held numerous hearings on this issue.

We've heard from countless experts, including Obama Administration officials about this growing homegrown threat from radical Islam.

However, some want to pretend that these threats do not exist.

CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, wants me to apologize for what I said.

It is important to know that The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have severed all ties with CAIR because of their ties to terrorism.

Let me be clear... .

bowing down to political correctness has and will get Americans killed, we must always speak the truth to this threat no matter how politically incorrect.

Yet, Tammy Duckworth agrees with CAIR, when she calls me irresponsible.

Tammy, what exactly did I say that you disagree with?

Yes or no, do you agree with the Obama Administration that there is a homegrown threat that exists from a radical strain of Islam?

Ms Duckworth, if you truly think my remarks are irresponsible, I invite you to join me in a debate on this very issue.

This issue is much too important for sound bites.

If homegrown terrorism is one of you primary issues that you seek to address, why focus on the smaller threat from homegrown radical Islam? The Department of Homeland Security has stated that the biggest threat of homegrown terrorism comes from Radical Right-Wing Christians. Radical Right-Wing Christian terrorism has killed far more Americans than any other homegrown followers of radical ideology's and still remains the biggest threat to this day. Are you too afraid to go after them instead?

Terrorism doesn't belong to any ideology, it is a tactic used to advance a political agenda. Sure, groups on the left and the right have used terrorism but don't fall for a false equivalency on their level of proportionality. It's easy to understand that you are uncomfortable that the radicals from an ideology you largely agree with are the greatest source of homegrown terrorism. Hiding behind false accusations of persecution only enable these radicals to operate even more.

Mr. Walsh,as long as America keeps killing innocents and continues helping extremist Jews by way of money andv armaments to do the same in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Pakistan you are right; there would be consequences those ethnic people here, NOT "Islamists" would surely try every means to do harm But they are stupid and wrong to target the innocents.They should find other peaceful ways. Just Google homeland security right wing terrorist report until you finds a link from a website you trust that leads you to the document. Cross reference the document if you want and check for any difference if you can find them though I doubt you will. The report is real and the threat is real.
