seriously? two, unrelated, consenting adults; is the same as incest?
and what's wrong with polygamy? If everyone involved is an adult and there by their own decision. what's wrong with that? It's been a successful part of human culture throughout history.
This is what happens when a country's leaders and elite, keep it's general population so uneducated. They don't know shit about history, anthropology, or culture.
Even the ancient Greeks, who we owe our democracy to, recognized gay marriage.

Furthermore, the word your in this case was supposed to be plural, that is, more than one. You seem to have avoided telling me your reasoning as to why two members of the same sex should not marry. Which tells me you have personal feelings towards the subject. Often repressed homosexuality leads to homophobia. Could that be it? Not accusing you, just trying to understand. If you truly like democracy as me then I don't see why you don't vote for freedom, but for repression: Like a communist?

Yep, I agree with you and would offer this: Rev Barber is the local NAACP leader in NC. He often tries to get on the news and speak about supposed "racial" issues, but often he's wrong. He doesn't seem to know the biggest problem facing black people in America isn't racism, it's black crime/gang/violence/drugs.

It's called Direct Democracy. Many states have ballot initiatives, measures, and propositions. For instance the second amendment of the US Constitution guarantees my right to own a firearm, however in 2005 the citizens of San Francisco voted yes on Prop H and banned San Francisco residents from owning guns. Lots of little towns in the North East still decide local laws at town hall style meetings.

Assuming you're not confusing rights with privileges, give me an example, please.
And even if you're correct, that doesn't make it right that we do that.
Rights are determined at the national level by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Halleluja!
With a preacher like this, religions makes sens intellectually accurate and humanistic impeccable .... I think when you put reason and elevated intellect together this is the result besides religious dogma!

I love that even a preacher can see the problem with integrating religious dogma into the system of law.

"Marriage", was originally a Religious concept. However, it has now become an integrated ideal for social structures throughout the world regardless of religious belief. The concept of marriage is no longer limited to religion, and should not be expected to be bound by the throws of ancient doctrines.
