While Linux is running our phones, friend requests, tweets, financial trades, ATMs and more, most of us don't know how it's actually built. This short video takes you inside the process by which the largest collaborative development project in the history of computing is organized. Based on the annual report "Who Writes Linux," this is a powerful and inspiring story of how Linux has become a community-driven phenomenon. More information about Linux and The Linux Foundation can be found at http://www.linuxfoundation.org and http://www.linux.com

Very convincing. I'm totally going to delete the OS I'm currently using and install Windows because of this glorious comment you have posted. Very articulate comment sir, thumbs up to you.

I'm using Fedora 18 right now. It's okay, really. But, GNOME is a pain to deal with at times(lack of customization, constant feeling that I'm using a Mac), so I recommend cinnamon on Fedora or Linux Mint for anyone who's interested in trying Linux. Don't like it? Good for you. You don't understand that your opinion is not valued here, as most of the people here use Linux on their desktop, and like it. We have bad tastes? Perhaps. But I think you're simply biased so you state it sucks.

Linux is better as a web development environment. You can easily tune the web daemon to your needs. It is much faster to set up and help secure most Linux server daemons because of the ease of administration. IIS is point and click, but it's a pain in the ass to deal with if you have a lot of work on your hands.

Linux is for tech savvy people though, I hear. One of these days, I'll try out a computer with linux running.

Linux is a gift to the humanity. An OS you can own, share and modify. The exact opposite to the closed commercial windows crap world...

U-B-U-N-T-U is gaining more and more support and users by the day.

The Internation Space Station just finished moving all of it's computers and laptops to Debian .

Why would I want to emulate windows instead runing it natively? Whats the point of installing linux when most software you are going to run is written for windows? Also you couldn't possibly admit defeat to windows more than you already did.
