    I wonder how this holds up against not-so-calm waters.

    If such a bike can do it, we can ditch the lifeboats for these.

    in my video Aquaskipper Best of you can see some actual waveriding with a human powered hydrofoil. It works surprisingly good and will give you a much smoother ride than any conventional boat!
