You can't get a federal job, go in the military, or even work at Walmart with a drug conviction. Our last 3 presidents have admitted to using weed and the last 2 to blow, so I think it is time to make it legal.

That's a disappointing response. Since true libertarians are far and few (at least where I live), I really enjoy conversing with those who understand and advocate similar ideologies. And yet he's called the great emancipator and it was under his administration that the slaves were freed. I'm not saying he was a great guy and I'm aware people even called him a tyrant. But you have to admit, without the civil war, we may still be an America with slaves. Then again some people may argue we have that now with the illusion we have freedom.

Lincoln gave two shits about the blacks. His moves were politically motivated by lobbyists and war strategy. At the beginning of the war, he said slavery was his lowest concern. The "preservation of the Union" was his desire. Slaves remained in border states for years after the war was over.

Lincoln. Freeing the slaves was a big step in black American history. But if an American is all around consistent and believes that the president should represent ALL Americans and not just a single group, we all benefit. Since Woodrow Wilson, we've been getting president s that represent a NWO, not the people.

How does Obama help the black community? If I know American history as well as anyone should, the former slaves enlisted and fought in the civil war because they wanted equal rights as granted by our creator(cause no man should take them away). But Obama resign Bush's Patriot act and passed his own laws that circumvent the very rights the our black ancestors fought and died for. It seems that constitutional rights mean nothing to our voters today, even on the republican side.
