Modern touch devices allow one to interact with virtual objects. However, there is a substantial delay between when a finger moves and the display responds. Microsoft researchers, Albert Ng and Paul Dietz, have built a laboratory test system that allows us to experience the impact of different latencies on the user experience. The results help us to understand how far we still have to go in improving touch performance.

Furthermore these aren't even touchscreens. This is just a projector with IR sensor allowing us to experience 1ms but is in no way a touchscreen. The purpose of the video is to show us what touchscreens will be like with 1ms delay.

You can see the same effect on operating systems and not Touchscreens. iOS is good, the delay is there but if you compare it to Android, it is good. Android has a very big delay, but Windows 8/RT are nearly perfect.

Iphone does the very same thing -.- every modern piece of tech does. That's why they said they will focus on this for the next decade.

Well, almost 1 year after that, every new phone (windows and android, nokia, samsung, LG, etc...) is more than 50 to 100ms input lag, the new gen is even worse than Galaxy 1/2 gen... Makes me wanna throw up, i just can't stand with input lag, makes me wanna throw my phone against a wall. Only Apple seems to take care about input lage.

I don't think so. I have an Ipad, and I can tell you that there is a delay. Probably 100ms.
