I'm Welsh, I'm rather embarrassed by Wales, see it this way, England has always had the upper hand in terms of technology, leadership and economy, the Welsh have just sat there for God knows how long, and when Wales does revolt (Owain Glyndwr) when it goes bad, he disappears. Personally I prefer the term British as the accomplishments of the Union are much better than all those tiny countries that used to exist on this island. and anyway, Wales doesn't instantly mean republicanism....
