Coming from a socialist country, I can tell you for a fact that socialism has never worked..it looks good on paper, but it has always brought destruction to every country that has attempted it.

LOL... Oh and Socialism has this solved? The old USSR had it's poor, strung-out, outcasts, etc..... No societal system has ever been able to provide a safety net to everyone. You are stuck on the ideals of socialism not it's practice. Socialism failed 100% of the time in world hostory because it can't account for human nature. If you hand people "free" stuff for doing nothing, then they will choose to do nothing. Capitalism offers far more opportunities and even it's poor is far better off.

Capitalism has always historically tried to divorce itself from reality in the sense that there has and always will be the old, the sick, the unemployed and the disabled. Ignoring this fact or trying to supress it has historically always led to civil strife and war.

I am not a very political person, but as a student of economics and looking at it objectively, I must ask: Would you people not recognize that socialism is an epistemological problem? It fails and ends up in inflation because it can never control or know the widely dispersed knowledge of society.

Just Google and read Hayek's short but magnificent article: "The Use of Knowledge in Society."

If an evil, war hungry, politician who supported racial segregation in south Africa is a big influential figure in the arguments against socialism then I am glad I have sided with the socialists.
