"Let thy Food be thy Medicine and thy Medicine be thy Food." -- Hippocrates

That's the message from the founding father of modern medicine echoed in the controversial new documentary film 'Food Matters' from first-
time Producer-Directors James Colqhuoun and Laurentine ten Bosch.

"With nutritionally-depleted foods, chemical additives and ourtendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what's wrong with
our malnourished bodies, it's no wonder that modern society is getting sicker. 'Food Matters' sets about uncovering the trillion dollar
worldwide "Sickness Industry" and giving people some scientifically verifiable solutions for curing disease naturally." - James

And in what promises to be the most contentious idea put forward, the filmmakers have interviewed several world leaders in nutrition and natural healing who claim that not only are we harming our bodies with improper nutrition, but that the right kind of foods, supplements and detoxification can be used to treat chronic illnesses as fatal as terminally diagnosed cancer.

'Food Matters' is to be launched globally via the internet using full screen video technology.

The film's official website can be found at http://www.foodmatters.tv

This doco changed my life. I was sick for three years straight and doctors just kept giving me meds and sending me home. I undertook a 80% raw foods diet with superfoods resulting in a 10 kg loss and I am almost never sick now

really???? GMO's are killing people. i hate to disagree but GMO was not in the interest of the population at large - its about making money and lots of it. Monsanto has a clear agenda and that is to dominate the world with GMOs and silence anyone who questions the safety. its always about the almight dollar no matter if it kills hundreds of thousands of people.

In fact, they are not "highly studied" as you say. Trials and tests and often manipulated and offer different results depending on who has interests in what. Recent french studies about genetically modified corn showed a death rate of 100% in tested mice. Of course, the test had been taken under appropiate circumstances. There was a lot of "revolution" here in Europe, but finally nothing happened and we still eat that crap.

People are living longer than 40 years ago.True.But are they necessary 'living' or simply 'surviving'?There re loads of improvements our society achieved. There re also loads of new diseases or at least.higher numbers within some diseases. It no matter much what, the fact is that a life without balance won't give someone a balanced result. It's also about your own beliefs.I consume natural estate food cuz i feel better,i enjoy it and feel like well spent money.I dislike fast food,it's empty n boring

And who pays the salary of the safety standard, could it be the pharmaceutical companies? Whom funds medical school? Who lobbies the Government for BIG Pharma? Who advertise all that BS on tv for drugs? Maybe you need to look at how huge american people are and compare the result with Italian people, 10% of the italian population are vegan. And guess what? NO GM in ITALIA! Italy is all organic!

That was because in the 1900 they didnt know much about hygiene or Sanitation, however today WE do know FAR more about it, such as the bacteria, virus and prions. It was the mainly monasteries which kept themselves in hygiene and CLEANED themselves and understood about the herbs of life which did live long life. Remember the black plague of Europe? It was the people whom CLEANED themselves which survived, then came the renaissance!
