Create your own simple and eco-friendly seed planting pots using only a pair of scissors, newspaper and a jar. Use black & white newspaper to make the pots as black ink is made of soy and safe to use around edibles. Avoid coloured newspapers as the ink contains some toxins.

Can you plant the plants inside the pot? Will it just decompose? Or do you have to open it up to allow root growth?

Yep, that's the idea. I'm going to slit the sides of my pots to aid in decomposition but yes I will be putting them in the ground to be eaten by worms.

They have a little thing made of wood that does this. I bought one from Michigan Bulb and it uses less paper
