"Americans," directed by Jameson Stafford, is a public service film starring Sean Penn and Kid Rock. The goal of the film is to tear down the one-dimensional political stereotypes portrayed by the media by confronting them head on. It reminds us that what really matters is that we're all Americans, with diverse thoughts, opinions and stances on issues. We are millions of unique, individual parts, the sum of which comprise a whole that is the shining beacon of freedom throughout the world.

The film reminds us to be proud of our differences, and to never forget that we're all in this together as Americans.

I get a giant kick out of the people on here who are shitting on Sean Penn for his views. Congratulations on watching this 10 minute video and not learning a goddamn thing. The point of this video is to try to accept other people's views regardless of whether their liberal, conservative or somewhere in between. Because we're all Americans and we all want what's best for this country even if we disagree on how to go about achieving it.

Trading in that 64 chevy for a prius was an absurd jesture. Restoring an old car is a million times greener than buying a new one even if it is a prius. How much energy does it take to make a new car, let alone millions every single year? There was a carburator invented in the early 1950's that would allow a big heavy Lincoln to achieve 150 m.p.g. If people really cared about the earth they would dig that up out of the archives and make thier money on replacement parts for old cars.
