Studying Entrepreneurship on the St.Gallen MBA

Jordi Montserrat discusses his elective modules 'Business Plan Writing' and 'Entrepreneurship' with the supporting comments from two current MBA students.

"The Entrepreneurship module aims to offer the participants a real concrete approach to building their own business. This includes a) what are the challenges they will be facing and b) what is the mindset that animates entrepreneurs. The challenges of building a company revolve around pushing an objective with usually limited resources in a basically unknown and uncertain environment which makes it very different from having an entrepreneurial spirit in a large company - here it is really building your own company and having at the beginning no name and very limited access. And this is the key challenge which we address, and this is a very personal and very often very emotional path that they have to face and this will be a key challenge. And there are right methods or, at least, there are best practice that they can learn and take advantage of."
