I have asked the right questions over the years. I have also looked into debunkers claims, but they always either shift debate when it goes wrong for them or make facts up. I still listen and evaluate their claims without prejudice. Occasionally their is some truth and I take it on board. But I'm afraid that is rare. Do you do the same? Ask yourself. Contrail formation and persistence depends on atmospheric conditions. Those conditions are not constant or uniform in the sky (that's why clouds form in some spots and not others). As a plane travels through areas that do and don't have the right conditions, the contrail will "turn on and off".
