It is so tragic that 90% of Down children on life support in their mothers womb are aborted before they are born...God help us be a voice for the voiceless! canadasilentnomore. com

Just to be clear, the number of women who abort for Ds, is not 90% of all women. It is only of those women who test. The number that test, is relatively small at this time, but is expected to go up with the new test that will be available soon. Also, it is not 90% everywhere, but in some locations. But again, of only those who test, not all women.

I am sad that there is no representation of African Americans.

We were too! We hoped that someone would send their photo in from the African American Community. We are a new organization and sent it out as far as we could. We hope with this great response that we will have more who will join our efforts of every race. We will be continuing this campaign, we hope African Americans will send in their sign, and we can put them on our site as we continue this! Please help us get the word out there. Thank you!!!

My daughter is seven and has Downs Syndrome - she is beautiful and i couldn't imagine life without her. Right from the start when I found out (the day after her birth), I was encouraged by family and friends who all said we were the ones blessed to have such a special child - and that is so true.

This video brought smiles and tears, memories of so many infants, children, adults I have taken care of over the years as a nurse/hygienist, as well as memories of some kids we lost, but all so loved, and so loving. Those of us blessed enough to be in their lives learn MUCH more from them than we could ever imagine. Thanks for this video!

Right ON! I am a nurse and a hygienist, and most of my 40+ yrs of working in nursing, later in both, a large percentage of my patients have been cognitively/developmentally disabled children and adults, and I have learned, as you did, that unconditional love is what they have for everyone!
WE are the ones most blessed as care-givers. One young man could do NOTHING but smile his HUGE smile, and he was my special blessing in private duty nursing for almost four years.

As the mother of a 32 year old Down's Syndrome son, I can tell you that there have been so many more blessings in my life because of him. Josh has always been a blessing, and has taught me about patience, love, and the meaning of what it is to accept God's gifts.
