Actually Bank of America hid toxic loans as good loans and gave them to anyone with a pulse, this is a criminal action which they have not been punished for. How is this a secret? There were articles about the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility, or TALF as far back as 2009 and the Fed openly announced it's existence in Nov of 2008. The difference between these loans and the bailouts are that TALF loans are ASSET backed you moronic fucking shithead. The bailouts were just that, the govt throwing wads of cash at the banks.

#4 The true reason behind the recession was idiotic and unnecessary government involvement, mostly from the progressive left. Had the CRA never been passed and banks allowed to function as they should have it is highly likely that the housing market would never have developed to the extent that they did.

As to your claim that it's all the derivatives fault that is just pure ignorance. Derivatives have been around since 1,700 BC. And now to the 5th and final comment.
