The 99% are the people who work to make ends meet, help their kids with their homework, take their families to church, and try to be a good neighbor. But the OWS is not the 99% nor is it the 1%, but rather its the scum at the bottom of the barrel after you remove all 100%

Never give up on the American people. Cynical inaction is a coward's reaction to the theft of the American dream.

Suggesting that we created a system of elected representatives out of laziness, in my opinion, is an act of laziness.

Is not self-governance a decided necessity? Would our aim then not be to put in place an equitable system, built on the steady foundations of justice, and having true representation of the people's will?

Our problem isn't lobbyists, it's the system we let them serve.

I am nowhere close to inactive, most people are; My opinion is its stupid for people to rail against the Lobbyist when in most cases they don't care enough to be politically active themselves, its not so much the system its the lack of participation in the system

Lobbyists are simply people who are paid to represent a select group of people, too lazy to represent themselves, everybody hates the lobbyist until he does something to help them; Unions have lobbyists, gun control advocates have lobbyists, gun lovers have advocates, businesses have lobbyists. face it the American people in general are too lazy or apathetic to concern themselves with Politics except once every four years

Amen! My family is definitely the 99% but we weren't very wealthy say 16 years ago. my mom and dad worked their asses off and now we have a 5 bedroom house in a very nice neighborhood.

I have a nephew protesting there, offered him a chance to make 30 per hour, wouldnt take the job. Problem is these losers dont wanna work, they want "FREE GUBMINT SHIT".and to hang out, drink smoke, bitch about shit.
