If you don't have the "Always Display Bookmarks Bar" on display, do this: Go to the Wrench Icon, then select "Options". Go to the "Basics" page, once there look for "Toolbar" (it is in bold). There you can select "Always show the bookmarks bar". Now you can drag the button to the bookmarks Bar! :)

You should not see the wrench icon on the newest Chrome, that could only means you still have another copy of the older Chrome in your computer. Are you on a Mac? or a PC? If you're on a Mac, first use EasyFind to find all the copies of Chrome in your computer, then use AppTrap or AppCleaner to uninstall all the elements of Chrome and install a clean copy into your computer again. Just download all the free app I mentioned from MacUpdate (dot) com.

I installed Google Chrome 2 hours ago, and it still has the wrench icon. Clicking on it produces a blue box with hardly anything to click on, let alone something that allows me to show the bookmark bar. The bookmark star shows on the Google Chrome bar, but all it allows me to see is that something has been 'added' to bookmarks, but I have no way of actually accessing any of the bookmarks that I have added. Any ideas?

After clicking on the wrench, I get a blue box with only a few of the words mentioned in this clip: certainly no 'Options'.

This video is outdated. Google Chrome replace the wrench icon into something looks like a Chinese character for three (三), or an icon with three horizontal lines, click that and go to Settings>Appearances, and check "Always Show Bookmarks Bar". Then follow the rest of the tutorial in the video to add your "Pin It" button on your bookmarks bar.

This is actually in "Settings" not in "Tools" in current Chrome, so video is out of date.
