بدأ عمال غزل المحلة في أضراب عن العمل، وطالب العمال بزيادة الارباح والحوافز وزيادة نهاية الخدمة، وردد العمال هتافات تنادي بالحد الأدنى للأجور الذي كان مطلبا رئيسيا لثورة يناير.

    لمن لا يتابع الأحداث بسطحيّة، هنا بدأ كلّ شيء منذ سنوات، إضرابات بالجملة واحتلال مصانع، منها احتلال العمّال لأكبر مصنع للنسيج في مصر (27000 عامل)، وهنا سيستكمل العمّال ما بدأوه حتى يثور العمّال والمنتِجين وسائر الكادحين في جميع أوساط العالم العربي.
