As soon as i watched the video, i knew it wouldnt work. Its a charity out to get someone. How come we didnt find Bin Laden for years?! We all knew about him- he was famous. We didn't find him for years.

bin laden could of been anywhere in the world, but kony could only be somwhere near uganda.

Nicely said. Granted, I'm a non-interventionalist and believe we have absolutely no business going to Uganda anyway (nor do we have the money and should be leaving Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan, Egypt and everywhere else Obama likes to drone), but even if I did, I think you're right about how we're not pointing the finger at the Ugandan government, who also by the way have their own child soldiers.

Just another campaign to make charity tourism and feel like really "good" guys when nobody really cares about Africa or the third world, or even worst, nobody cares about what's happening in their own neighborhood. Answer this for me, how is IC educating anyone? All I've seen it do is spread awareness. It hasn't really encouraged people to go out and do their own research. It hasn't really enabled critical thinking and analysis about the situation. It only promotes its own version of the story, and then tells you to hang up posters and buy stuff.

I did read everything you said, I just don't see how Kony 2012 has REALLY educated anyone beyond getting people to know his name.

Did you even read my second step? I never said anything about "just accepting everything" IC says. I said they did a great job of raising awareness and that raising awareness leads to the public hopefully educating it's self.

Maybe you should really read what people actually say before going off half cocked.
