Probably not. Not sure what he has to do with this other than the album art though. He didn't have any part in making the music.

he created the visuals and shit for the actual "play" or "performance" or whatever you want to call it at the guggenheim, and i dunno, i don't really like his style. i dunno what animal collective likes about him n i guess i'm also frustrated cause i feel like if they worked with a visual artist that i liked, i'd like their visual/audio fusions more

I know that, I mean he has no real involvement in this actual record. It's just the music, completely removed from the original installation other than the album cover. I doubt they would have made very different music if they were working with someone else. Even if they did you have no way of knowing if it would have been better or not...? If you went to the Guggenheim for this and were disappointed then sorry, but Danny's work isn't on this record at all so I don't see the problem.

danny perez helped produce ODDSAC, which is AMASING, but i'm not sure what he contributed to the music or even the visuals

He directed and edited the film part of ODDSAC, and oversaw all of the visual elements of the original Transverse Temporal Gyrus art installation at the Guggenheim museum that this music was part of, but none of the musical stuff.

They're planning to put a website up soon with the visuals and the audio together. :)

I kind of like hearing the audio on its own though, I don't find it lacking and without the distraction of the visuals it's easier to focus on all the subtle sounds and see your own visuals in your head.

so happy this exists. i was starting to think maybe anco took a turn for the worse with their new live stuff. and i like tht even but it doesnt compare to other stuff they've done. this just has the good old AC feeling

i saw someone comment about danny perez on here so thats why i said he sucks, also this record is the music for the performance so danny perez is definitely relevant to this record, and why are you so sure they wouldn't have made very different music working with someone else
