In a sleepy corner of Costa Rica there is a very peculiar but extraordinary sanctuary. Run by Judy Avey-Arroyo for 20 years, this is the only sanctuary in the world devoted to saving orphaned and injured sloths, and is home to over 160 of them, some of whom have become an internet sensation.

Hmm, that is possible. Still, if our population keeps growing, we endanger animals either way. Using the land we already crop for another purpose would only slow the problem. I think we need people to choose to adopt and not have their own kids more than we need people to change their diet. A combination of both would be better. But the point originally was that, in the meantime, that sloth needs the milk, and the guy bashing on "fucking meat eaters" does not see the point.

i believe that the majority of land used to grow certain grains and soybeans is actually to feed livestock though, so perhaps if that changfed and we used that land space to grow veg instead, it would not be as you say.
