Martha McSally: "That's a war on women"

McSally: (inaudible) That you didn't see are about the war on women. I mean, I'm a woman warrior. I've been fighthing for women's rights and women's equality my whole life.

You want to talk about a war on women? Walk in my shoes down the streets of Kabul. Walk in my shoes down the streets of Riyadh; where women have to be covered up. Where they're stoned, where they're honor killed if they've been raped , where they can't drive and they can't travel without the permission of a male relative.

That's a war on women. When I go out and talk to women in our district and around the country, they're concerned right now about jobs; they're concerned about affordable healthcare. They're concerned about the future of social security and medicare for them, and a good education for their kids.

That's what I'm ready to fight for. These ads are totally false and distorting my positions. And Mr. Barber today was on the radio saying that he's against negative ads yet he's running them from his own campaign that are out of the same partisan playbook: Scare the Seniors, Scare the Middle Class, Scare the Women.

This is what's wrong with politics these days and this is why I'm running to change it.

Notice that McSally gives examples of some foreign countries that treat men and women differently. She is unable to list any legal rights in the US that men have that women don't.  On the other hand, it is easy to list the fewer legal rights of men in the US. Selective Service. Parental/Child rights and divorce law. Zero legal say in pregnancy, be it the outcome or resignation of parental rights (women may legally abdicate parental rights to a child by giving it up for adoption).

The problem with politics is that women's social issues are mentioned regularly while no candidate mentions any male issues.

McSally is not a woman warrior. She is merely a talker.

Would you trade the right to vote for the legal slavery of military conscription? Feminists are up in arms that women aren't allowed to drive, can't travel but ignore the male part : men are forced to die and kill others or be killed. Women would also be recruited were it not for the reality that women can't carry 20 lbs of gear .

I will give you a number less then none. Not one woman is signed up for the selective service and you do less work in the military in general with lowered Apft and mental exams.
