A lot of people have the same question which has prompted me to add a few more videos for everyone. Cooper is now 4 and is expressing his feelings and emotions in words. His speech is still not perfectly clear, and it might be more difficult for someone who hasn't been around him a lot to know what he is saying. But his language is coming along so well even though he still has a long way to go!

To NightDaft - I am Cooper's mom. I am disappointed that you would automatically assume that Cooper has been restricted to spoken language. Cooper continues to learn ASL along with spoken language. When he learns the spoken, we teach him the sign - he speaks the sentence, he learns the sentence in sign. You are correct in saying that he is still deaf, and we are not ignorant to that part of him. He learns about the deaf community and would never imagine keeping him from that. Ask next time.
