Although this is really amazing, I can't help but think now that every time I look at an iconic image from National Geographic or some other famous photojournalist, I wonder if this was real, raw, concrete evidence of a perfect moment forever frozen in time or an image that was simply manipulated. For me, ironically, this takes away the "wow" factor from seeing amazing photographs.

yeah, Google "photo manipulation throughout history" and there have been photo editing for years before Photoshop, it's a site I use during my photo ethics lesson plan in the photography class I teach at a local university. However, not all photos are manipulated of course.
